The Honeywell L5100-WIFI internet alarm communicator comes out of the box ready to be installed all you have to do is make sure there is no power to the Honeywell L5200 security system, depress the two tabs showing the insides of the Honeywell L5200 wireless security system, locate the correct male end on the Honeywell L5200 motherboard which is located below the speaker, slide the Honeywell L5100-WIFI internet alarm communicator port smoothly into the male end. Now that the Honeywell L5100-WIFI internet alarm communicator has been put into the correct location of the L5200 wireless system make sure to take down the MAC and MAC CRC off of the WIFI communicator located on the white sticker. After you have installed the Honeywell L5100-WIFI internet alarm communicator you can close the L5200 system up and power back up.
By adding the Honeywell L5100-WIFI internet alarm communicator you unlock all of the available features with the Honeywell LYNX Touch L5200 wireless security system. This includes Honeywell's AlarmNet Total connect 2.0 interactive alarm monitoring services. AlarmNet Total connect 2.0 is a software that allows you to control your Honeywell LYNX Touch wireless security system's remotely. Features such as, remote arm/disarm, receive notifications on alarm system status to smart device’s, sensor status, bypass zones from smart device, control z-wave home automation devices and view Honeywell IP cameras from your smart devices and computer remotely from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. By adding the Honeywell L5100-WIFI internet alarm communicator you can view up to one camera on the actual Honeywell L5200 4.7 inch touchscreen display or 4 at a time on the Honeywell L7000 wireless security system.
The Honeywell L5100-WIFI internet alarm communicator allows for dual path communications. This internet communicator can be combined with selected Honeywell cellular communicators to allow for two modes of communication back to GEOARM Security’s central alarm monitoring station in the event one has no signal or fails. Honeywell's L5100-WIFI communicator can be paired with the AlarmNet GSMVLP5-4G, 4GL cellular alarm communicator and the new 3GL cellular alarm communicator. The primary mode of communication when using dual path alarm monitoring will be your Honeywell L5100-WIFI internet alarm communicator and is backed up by the cellular communicator
The Honeywell LYNX Touch L5200 wireless security system has been discontinued by Honeywell and will no longer produce these alarm panels. The L5200 has been replaced by the Honeywell LYNX Touch L5210 wireless security system the link to the new system has been placed below.
