This video will show you how to install the Honeywell LYNX Touch L7000 wireless security system while using the Honeywell L7000DM desk mount for an easy installation.
To install the Honeywell L7000 system make sure the system is completely powered down including unplugging the alarm backup battery. Once you have completed this locate your LT-CABLE and your Honeywell L7000DM arrange these items as shown in the video. Take your LT-CABLE and run the male end of the wire through the back of the Honeywell L7000DM, open the Honeywell LYNX Touch L7000 by depressing the two tabs at the top of the touch screen, run the male end of the LT-CABLE through the back of the Honeywell L7000, plug the male end of the LT-CABLE into the Honeywell L7000 system "make sure the power transformer is not plugged in", install any other devices that you may have such as the cellular card, z-wave module or internet modules, plug in the backup battery, combine the Honeywell L7000DM with the Honeywell LYNX Touch L7000 wireless security system, screw the mounting screw to keep the Honeywell L7000DM in place and now you can seal the Honeywell L7000 back up. Now that we have the Honeywell LYNX Touch L7000 prepared we are going to gather the power transformer and the opposite end of the Honeywell LT-CABLE and insert the red end into the positive terminal on the transformer, insert the black end of the wire and insert that into the negative end of the transformer. After all of the above steps have been completed plug in the transformer and your Honeywell L7000 system should have power and begin its booting cycle.
Keep in mind some models of the Honeywell L7000 system will not line up correctly with the Honeywell L7000DM desk mount. If this situation occurs during your installation you may need to slice off a foot on the Honeywell L7000DM as described above.
